Senior Administration Officer; £24,500-£27,500, based in Keresley, Coventry, Negotiable schedule of 30 hours (salary on a pro-rata basis).


Empowr-U CIC, a not-for-profit organisation that works with children, young people, and communities to create a positive impact, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Administration Officer to join our team.

As a Senior Administration Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving the day-to-day operations of the organisation and supporting our team in fulfilling its potential.

You will work closely with the operations manager to develop effective administrative systems that support our mission and goals.


We are seeking a hard-working, but a fun and enthusiastic team player, that wants to make a positive difference to disadvantaged communities in Coventry and Warwickshire, through our work.

This position is an important role for somebody that is well organised and thrives on bringing people and projects together.


Key responsibilities:


  • Leading the development and implementation of effective administrative systems and procedures.
  • Providing office support, including customer and employee support.
  • Ensuring wellorganized files and records of business activity.
  • Managing staff scheduling and rota, following up on business communications, billing, and order.
  • Interacting with clients either on the phone or in person.
  • Managing spreadsheets, invoices, and creating and upkeeping documents.
  • Using spreadsheets to track expenses and company spending, and collecting and inputting company data.
  • Keeping uptodate management accounts
  • Taking meeting notes
  • Acting as a personal assistant to the executive team.
  • Communicating with all in our team, and external points of contact, for example, funders, customers, suppliers and contractors and staff.
  • Participating in office meetings and taking meeting minutes.
  • Managing schedule arrangements for employees.
  • Supporting project staff with the administrative and businessrelated aspects of their roles.
  • Keeping computer databases up to date.
  • Ordering office stationery and other supplies.
  • Collecting, sending, and sorting posts.

Essential skills, experience, and qualifications:


  • A genuine passion for the work of Empowr-U.
  • Proven experience in a similar senior administrative role.
  • Confident in team management
  • An organised, methodical approach.
  • A calm, responsible, and professional manner.
  • Competent in IT, English Language, and Task Management.
  • Strong communicator, in various means (i.e., written, digital, verbal).
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
