Our vision is to become a leading People Service in NHS Wales.

Therefore, we are expanding our services and are recruiting to vacancies across a range of professional backgrounds, such as Employee Relations, Recruitment and Resourcing and Organisational Design.


Led by our Associate Directors of People Services, our People Services teams will be part of the four IHC operational structure, providing local workforce support, strategic workforce planning and also contribute to a direct reduction in agency and locum costs as local, national and international campaigns are given local health community focus.


Incorporated in this team is People Business Partnering, a blended HR and Organisational Design role, acting as business professionals, team member champions and change agents.


Provide support, constructive challenge and specialist guidance to managers to ensure that people management is undertaken in a proactive and agreed manner.


To support line managers in ensuring all staff has the necessary skills and experience to discharge their duties as defined by their job description.

Support managers in the development of their team members through PADRs.


Provide professional HR/OD management advice and support to managers within nominated areas that contributes to improvement in the organisational performance and achieve objectives through increased staff effectiveness.


To work closely with managers to identify any workforce implications within business cases; for example, changes to working patterns, the introduction of new roles and variations to terms and conditions.


Consider staff and financial resources implications when advising managers to ensure advice is consistent with other workforce colleagues, legislation, terms and conditions and the Health Board agenda.

Promote the development of an People service which fosters a 'customer service' focus

To work with line managers and People Services/colleagues to ensure delivery of workforce Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.


Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is the largest health organisation in Wales, with a budget of £1.7 billion and a workforce of over 19,000 staff.

The Health Board provides primary, community, mental health and acute hospital services for the population of North Wales.


BCUHB provides a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and specialist hospital services across 3 acute hospitals, 22 community hospitals and a network of over 90 health centres, clinics, community health team bases and mental health units.

BCUHB also coordinates or provides the work of 113 GP practices and the NHS services provided by dentists, opticians and pharmacists across the region.

BCUHB has a developed relationship with the universities in North Wales and with the University of Bangor is seeking medical school status and operates in a research-rich learning culture.
