    Welsh Speaking 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant

    Hey there! If you're a dedicated and caring Welsh-speaking individual who loves working with children with extra learning needs, keep on reading. We are searching for a compassionate Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to work one-on-one with a student in an SEN base at one of our Primary Schools in Caerphilly.

    This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday, with an ideal start date of April 15th, 2024.

    Job responsibilities:

    • Offer personalized assistance to a student with extra learning needs, providing tailored educational support.
    • Create an inclusive learning environment to boost academic and social growth for all students.
    • Collaborate with teachers and fellow support staff to develop effective strategies for student success.
    • Keep detailed records of student progress and contribute to assessments and reports.
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, updating them on student progress and addressing any concerns.
    • Work with external professionals to meet students' unique needs.

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Be fluent in Welsh with strong communication skills in both Welsh and English.
    • Have previous experience assisting children with extra learning needs in an educational setting.
    • Demonstrate the ability to connect with students one-on-one.
    • Understand diverse learning challenges and use various strategies to support student progress.
    • Excel in building positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents/guardians.
    • Possess traits like patience, empathy, and composure in challenging situations.
    • Be proficient in organization, time management, and task prioritization.
