MBA are proud to partner one of Liverpool's most innovative finance organisations in their search for a 1st Line Service Desk Analyst on a permanent basis.

As 1st Line Service Desk Analyst you will be the first line response for all ticket requests, work as part of a team and individually troubleshoot


Secondary Duties:
Provide all other business critical support where necessary.

The role is predominately remote based with office visits (Central Liverpool) once / twice a month.


This opportunity can provide traditional Service Desk progression or alternatively into the Software Development team if your interest is in programming.


1st Line Service Desk Analyst - Responsibilities
Being the first point of contact for all support requests

  • Providing 1st Line diagnosis and resolution
  • Maintain a high level of 1st time fix rates
  • Maintain written documentation on each call; escalating complex problems to the next level of support as required by documented procedures.
  • To liaise, collaborate and work with other developers, systems analysts or business users to contribute to the design and analysis of the system.
  • Report to the development manager and other senior developers.
  • Manage own workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Work under high pressure targets.
  • Other adhoc duties as reasonably required by the business.
  • Work with multiple users across multiple offices/countries.

1st Line Service Desk Analyst - Skills

  • Prior 1st Line exp or the willingness to learn
  • Gather requirements effectively
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge in programming and interest to learn (not required if your interest is to progress within the Service Desk function)
  • Agile: SCRUM/Kanban
  • Proclaim
  • SQL
  • C#.NET,, ASP.NET, MVC
