We are currently looking for a Operations Director to join a leading Healthcare company based in the Surrey/Stirling area with travel to UK sites.

As the Operations Director you will be responsible for the strategic planning and set up of future distribution centres with the requisite leadership skills to focus cross functional operational teams (warehousing, purchasing, maintenance, production) to achievecompany objectives.

You will be working within a highly regulated environment to a variety of ISO, GDP and GMP standards.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Operations Director will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • You will work closely with all stakeholders to contribute and influence the strategic direction of the business, shaping the growth and development of the company whilst ensuring a robust supply chain and operational pipeline.
  • The Operations Director will drive change where needed, demonstrating commitment to creating a culture of continuous improvement and quality with already established and committed Production, Maintenance and Purchasing teams.
  • Another responsibility will be to lead the development and implementation of standard operational excellence tools and processes across the Oxygen Production sites. You will also ensure proper inventory management policies and procedures are in place andensures inventory targets are defined and adhered to.
  • It will be essential to be responsible for creating the annual departmental budget, managing and reporting appropriately throughout the year demonstrating accountability for the effective use of resources.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:


  • You will have a BA/BSc in a relevant degree or equivalent along with a Professional Operations Qualification within a related field: CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) certification and/or Health & Safety / Project Management accreditation.
  • Proven industry experience in a senior Operations/supply chain role managing operations, supply chain or logistics with proven track record of delivering excellent operational service levels and efficiency improvements.
  • A working knowledge and practical experience of operational excellence and supply chain
management principles, Lean implementation and warehouse/transport logistics software is ideal.
