    We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate Catering Assistants to join our team, providing support in catering services for both care homes and schools. The successful candidates will play a vital role in assisting with food preparation, service, and ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents and students are met. In this role you will be working within Schools, Care homes, Contract Catering & Events, so you would need to have an enhanced DBS and be able to work across Norfolk. Driving license and access to your own vehicle will be preferable.Responsibilities:
    • Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sandwiches, and portioning food items
    • Set up serving areas and ensure they are well-stocked with required items
    • Serve meals to residents or students in a timely and courteous manner
    • Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils
    • Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
    • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
    • Provide friendly and helpful service to residents, students, and staff
    • Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure smooth operations
    Requirements:
    • Previous experience in catering, food service, or a similar role is preferred but not required
    • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
