We are currently recruiting for
an ambitious and passionate Groups and Events Coordinator who strives to provide and inspire incredible guest service that creates truly memorable experiences for our guests.

What we are looking for


The position will be targeted to manage current business relationships, as well as develop new business for both the existing year, and targeted to deliver contracted business for future years.

Clear market responsibility, as well as targets based against the hotel's budgets will ensure a focused approach.

The targets will be based around revenue production in the following markets:
Catering (banqueting) and Groups from Catering led accounts.


About you

  • Background in Hospitality and / or Hotel Front Office related discipline, looking to move into an Event Executive role
  • Knowledge of banqueting trends, event management and procedures.
  • There should be excellent communication (verbal & written) skills, confident presentation ability and client focused approach and serviceoriented demeanour.
  • Being innovative, proactive and reliable, able to work alone and within a team
  • An ambassador who must have a passion for hospitality, being a role model as a leader and having a drive for sales.

What you'll do as a Groups and Events Coordinator:

As our Wedding & Group Reservations Executive and in collaboration with the Sales & Event Manager - Weddings / Social.

Proactively soliciting, booking and event managing the hotels wedding, special events opportunities. On low demand season this position will also support other areas within the events team.

Along with the hotel reactive sales team, manages other social segments group and catering opportunities not handled by the events booking center.

Actively upsells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity. Achieves team related revenue goals. Executes all allocated events with seamless turnover from the event management team to the operation. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery.

The executive supports the manager for the successful production of their assigned events and in-house groups, preparing all documentation to satisfactory level of the customer and coordinates all event details with the appropriate hotel departments.

Recognizes opportunities to up-sell to the customer to ensure maximization of revenue opportunities at all times whilst also ensuring all health and safety aspects of the events are monitored.


Notes:

  • Traditional Great Room/Ballroom business secured event planning will be handled by Event Management
  • Grosvenor House catered weddings will be handled by Event Management
  • Outside catered Ballroom events secured event planning will be handled by Event Management
  • Outside catered Great Room events will require Sales / Event Manager to be onsite support to manage high volume months will be provided by Event Management Team
