This is a fantastic opportunity to join as an Undergraduate Trainee Financial Accountant for your placement year with Saint-Gobain where the focus will be to support our manufacturing clients with their accounting and reporting functions.
Prepare and post all accruals and journal entries into SAP as agreed with clients
Reconcile sub-ledgers with General Ledger
Perform the fixed asset accounting, reporting and reconciliation process
Finalise month end inter-company reconciliation processes in liaison with AP, CM and AR team members
Prepare monthly and yearly balance justifications and balance sheet reconciliation files
Ensure that all work conforms to current internal control procedures
Populate the group reporting packages with the financial data
Assist in the preparation of periodical declarations such as VAT and PSA etc
Anticipate month end processes to ensure smooth and efficient closing
Respect closing calendar
Assisting with and supporting internal and external audit visits and requirements; including preparation of reports, schedules and procedures Am I who you are looking for?

To be suitable for the Undergraduate Trainee Financial Accountant role with Saint-Gobain you need to have:
IT literate (knowledge of MS Office tools particularly Excel & Word)
Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to work well in a team and on own initiative
Good degree of accuracy & numeric skills
Results oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
Adherence and awareness of internal controls
