    Description
    We are recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer for a food manufacturer based in Peterhead.
    You will be responsible for the repair, service, and maintenance of the factory refrigeration systems.

    On Offer:
    * £49,140

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supporting the Chief Engineer and Engineering Team Leaders in all aspects of site refrigeration.
    • Maintaining the site plant to ensure it runs efficiently and optimum working conditions are maintained.
    • Creating, implementing and regularly reviewing and updating a refrigeration maintenance programme.
    • Minimising downtime with call out support.
    • Providing status reports and continuing reports regarding the system.
    • Providing site training to the engineering department to increase their awareness and to enable them to assist and provide support with regards to maintenance.
    • Providing training, support and guidance to refrigeration engineer apprentices.
    • Advising the Chief Engineer of any issues that arise.
    • Providing recommendations on changes for cost savings and performance improvements.
    • To assist in other areas of factory with engineering support as and when required.

    Experience and skills required:

    • Formal industry recognised refrigeration engineering qualification such as NVQ Diploma level 2/3 in Servicing and Maintaining Refrigeration Systems.
    • Can demonstrate and possesses the appropriate technical competencies and certificates relevant to the skills required e.g.2079 Refrigerant handling, ACRIB, Ammonia, FGAS.
