    Description

    This role is based within the clubhouse and supports the
    senior golf team with the smooth running of the Pro-shop and golf related
    services.

    Located at the centre of resort activities, the retail and
    golf teams are the first point of contact for golfers, residents, visitors,
    members and guests on property. This is
    a sales focused role that requires a detailed knowledge of all products and
    services on offer, with an emphasis on Pro-shop goods, merchandise and stock.

    The role operates on a shift-based system and hours of work
    vary in line with the needs of the business. With rotational weekend working.

    Contract: Seasonal (April to October), flexible hours

    Reports to: Director of Golf



    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Provide a
      warm and welcoming reception and environment for all patrons
    • Assist with
      the day-to-day running of the Pro-shop and retail activities
    • Daily
      promotion and upselling of Pro-shop goods to maximise sales
    • Regular
      display cleaning and refreshing, stock management, reordering and storage
    • Process
      orders, bookings and tee-time requests including email and telephone enquiries
      in a friendly and efficient manner
    • Assist with
      point-of-sale activities including cash handling and other functions
    • Maintain a
      detailed knowledge and understanding of all site-wide products and services
    • Promote and
      upsell site wide services and facilities where possible
    • Communicate
      operational and management information to golfers as required
    • Any duties
      required by management to ensure the delivery of 5-star services

    Qualifying Criteria:

    • Previous golf or sports hospitality experience advantageous
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Confident and friendly personality
    • Passion for sales and delivering exceptional
      customer services
    • Commitment to high quality standards and keen
      eye for detail
    • Team player with an ability to multi-task
    • Positive and flexible approach to work
    • Good time management and timekeeping
    • Proof of eligibility to work in the United
      Kingdom
