Salary £33,945 - £38,223 per annum Pro Rata | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | LCC Fleet Services HQ |


Based primarily at the Fleet Services Headquarters and main workshop at Bamber Bridge near Preston, the role is to manage fleet compliance, advise service users on compliance to reduce risk to the authority, and to manage/oversee resolution of infringements with the relevant bodies.


The role also involves managing vehicle hire, including SEND and other specialist vehicles, for the authority to meet service users' requirements, and to manage investigations for accident claims and fleet management technical reports.


An important part of the role is the management of regulatory inspection procedures on bus and taxi operators' vehicles used for LCC SEND and other passenger transport providers, and liaison with the appropriate regulatory bodies as necessary.

The post holder will be required to provide or present technical advice on behalf of fleet services at any consequent disciplinary procedures.

Additionally, the post holder would be expected to provide comprehensive technical assistance, engineering and managerial support to assist the team's operational, business and financial objectives
