Full timeThe Senior PMO Analyst is responsible for supporting the Technology PMO Manager in establishing and managing the core governance and control processes across the Technology Delivery department.
The Technology Delivery function delivers a wide range of Change which the Senior PMO Analyst will support. This will involve the Senior PMO Analyst working with Programme, Project, Digital and Value Stream Teams to provide effective management of core delivery activities, helping to ensure delivery to time, quality and budget, irrespective of methodology used,Support the embedding and continuous improvement of PMO methods, standards, tools and processes across all initiatives and provide relevant guidance to Delivery managers across the Programme, Project, Digital and Value Stream Teams.
Deputise for the Technology PMO Manager where requiredSupport the PMO and Delivery Managers in ensuring that all initiatives undertaken are properly defined, resourced and managed in accordance with the agreed change frameworks
Work with Programme and Project Managers and Digital and Value Stream Leads to support the creation and tracking of project and sprint plans highlighting key milestones and critical path activities.
Facilitate the Technology Delivery resource management process, including resource capacity planning and reporting actualsAssist the PMO Manager with reporting and analysis to support Tech Delivery planning and prioritisation including annual resource planning, pipeline decisions and any subsequent portfolio, programme or project reviews
Facilitate effective risk, issue and dependency management across all initiatives, providing support and challenge to Project Managers where required.
Coordinate the updating and maintenance of risk, issue and dependency logsSupport the delivery and review of weekly reports from the Technology Project Managers, tracking progress against plans and providing feedback and challenge where required
Support the PMO Manager in the delivery of management information (MI) packs where required
Maintain and update the project deliverables register
Support the effective management of the repositories for project data and documentation including , JIRA and SharePoint
Maintain and proactively use the central project register to govern at portfolio level, working closely with the Transformation Office.
Establish and manage reviews through the IT health check process to drive quality assuranceSupport the process for Stage Gate Approvals and assist in preparing the project for a gateway review and sign off
Ensure that the Halfords change request process is adhered to by Project Managers for all initiatives
Log and track change requests on the project and ensure that impact is being assessed
Support the management of the Business IT PMO mailbox
Support the monitoring and reporting of expected benefits (financial and otherwise) for Tech Delivery.
Support the coordination and processing of RAFs, contracts and PO's for relevant contractor resource and 3 rd Party SOWs
Support the process for supplier on-boarding and contract negotiations
Minimum of 3-5 years of PMO Analyst Experience
Experience of providing high quality PMO support
Understanding of project management principles and lifecycle.
In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, based on Prince 2 plus experience of Agile methodologies
Experience in the use of suitable PMO software and tools
Experience in managing project finances, tracking against budgets
Qualifications – A recognised Project, Programme, PMO or Portfolio qualification e.g.
Embracing change – flexible in approach to ways of working, ability to adapt to change and being open to new ideas
Please note, this role will require the incumbent to work from our Redditch offices at least two days per week.
