Description

CK Group are recruiting for a Research and Development Scientist to join a fast growing materials company at their site based in Middlesborough, on a full time, permanent basis.


Your main duties will be:


  • Work in a safe manner.
  • Help to develop and progress key research programmes.
  • Develop and optimise chemical formulations; Organic, Inorganic and hybrid, with a view to scaling to production.
  • Work with the BSL team to identify gaps in and opportunities for current technology
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to enhance BSL technology and support innovation.
  • Help to develop the laboratory facilities where appropriate.
  • Provide Technical Reports to a high standard.
  • Produce Technical Papers to raise the company's technical profile.
  • Support training and development of colleagues as part of a process of organisational growth and development.
  • Travel as required to support the technical and commercial endeavours of the Company.

Your Background:


  • Degree in Chemistry, BSc/ Mchem (not Biochemistry or Chemical Eng.)
  • Industrial Experience.
