Business Development Manager - Van Conversions
Based out of our Leeds Head Office, covering the UK.

Full Time 40hrs, Permanent, Monday to Friday

£30,000 to £35,000pa dependent on experience plus uncapped commission

Established in 2000 as a small family business, SM UK, an auto-engineering company specializing in commercial vehicle safety systems has gone from strength to strength.

Operating Nationwide dealing with some of the largest fleets in the country whilst providingoptimum solutions and a seamless service tailored to meet the exact requirements of our clients.


Due to our continued progressive growth and further expansion into our new purpose built Head Office and Workshop Facility in Leeds, SM UK currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Van Conversion Division and furtherenhance our existing team, providing customised racking and storage solutions to clients and fleets of vans throughout the UK.


SM UK are recognised as the preferred supplier for the UK's biggest manufacturer of vehicle safety systems, but more recently SM UK has expanded into the Turn-Key, Racking, Welfare and Van Conversion Market dealing with leading brands such as Sortimo, SystemEdstrom, and to provide bespoke solutions.


We are looking to recruit a highly proactive, enthusiastic and target driven Business Development Manager who can confidently communicate at all levels.

You will be motivated and ambitious and want to be part of our expanding Team with a desire to increaseyour knowledge and experience to further develop your future career with us.


Ideally you will have previous van conversion sales experience within the automotive industry or similar background working within a dealership or vehicle sales setting.

You will have strong communication and presentation skills to deliver potential and existing customers with targeted, relevant optimum and bespoke solutions.

You will be supported bystrong focused marketing, our in-house Design Engineer and a wealth ofindustry knowledge from our existing Team.

Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets, with uncapped commission potential
  • UK wide lead generation and networking
  • Building a database of quality leads/pipeline throughout the UK
  • Quotation creation and proactive followups
  • Account/customer relationship management
  • Providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Following internal procedures when processing orders
  • Liaising effectively with internal departments to provide seamless customer service.
