Pharmacy Technician to join their "Good"-rated Guildford hospital, which is seeing an exciting period of development - bringing in new consultants and expanding services, allowing for new options in training and progression.
The hospital specialises in pre-planned specialist services and surgical procedures, meaning the on-site pharmacy plays a crucial role in the treatment of osteoporosis, pain, urinary conditions, and a wide range of other health issues.
The pharmacy teamis particularly involved with the growing Oncology unit, which will enable you to learn advanced skills within this specialist area.
As aPharmacy Technician, you will be a key member of the clinical pharmacy team, supporting the delivery of an outstanding and efficient service across the hospital:
- Dispensing medicines on the wards, within the cancer unit, and within the dispensary
- Topping up and distributing medicines across the hospital
- Ordering, procuring, and taking receipt of fresh stock, and
- Ensuring safe and effective medicines management at all times
permanent,
full-time basis(37.5 hours/week, mixed shifts) **or
as part of the staff bank**(flexibly covering absences and exceptionally busy periods). _Full clinical training will be provided - registered Pharmacy Technicians from a community background are welcome to apply._
Person specification:
You
_must_ hold valid registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician.
Previous experience within a hospital setting is
_preferred but not essential - full _clinical training will be provided_._
