    Job Title: Non-Ferrous Metal Buyer/Trader

    Location: Birmingham

    Salary: £50,000 + Commission

    Company Overview:

    A leader in the metal recycling industry, looking for a seasoned Buyer with a knack for negotiation and a keen eye for quality.

    Package details:

    • Uncapped monthly commission.
    • 5% pension contribution.
    • On-site parking
    • 20 days holidays plus bank holidays.
    • Company car, laptop, and phone provided.

    The Role:

    As a buyer, you'll ensure the company get the best value from there suppliers. You'll manage relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor supply quality. Your knowledge of the metal recycling industry will be the key to success in this role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Negotiate with vendors for better prices and terms.
    • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery.
    • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
    • Coordinate with warehouse staff for proper storage.
    • Handle your own admin and liaise with teams in operations.
    • Work remotely with weekly office visits.

    Requirements:

    • Ability to identify metal gradients.
    • Proven experience as a buyer in the metal recycling industry.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with FRED software is a plus.
    • Outstanding organizational and negotiation skills.
    • Resilience under pressure and professionalism at all times.
    • Ambition to progress within the company.
