Internal Communication & Engagement Manager

As an Internal Communications & Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing internal communication strategies that enhance Hickory's employee engagement, foster transparency, and align to the company culture.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and various departments to ensure consistent and impactful messaging.
Collaborate with senior management to create a comprehensive internal communications strategy.
Own the Workvivo strategy including driving content creation and management.
Manage the Hickory's Linkedin Account, ensuring appropriate regular content and develop the Employee Branding.
Align internal messaging with external communication efforts- develop and maintain a strong on brand "voice".
Ensure the 5 Star values are related to throughout all communication.
Develop engaging and relevant content for all internal channels including Newsletters and Workvivo.
Write clear, concise, and compelling communications, including new starter announcements and regular business updates.
Ensure consistency in "voice", tone, style, and branding.

Champion the Cash for Kids Charity and come up with ways to raise awareness and funding for them across the business.

Foster a positive work environment by promoting company culture, values, and initiatives.
Encourage Team participation in company events, surveys, and feedback sessions.
Facilitate our regular "Fresh Eyes" internal communication sessions.
Track the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives.
Use analytics to assess engagement levels and refine communication approaches.

Keep abreast of trends and new opportunities in the world of Internal Communications to ensure we are evolving and growing our processes.

Work closely with the People Team, Marketing Team and other departments to align messaging.
Coordinate internal events and Team recognition programs.
Proven experience in internal communications, preferably in a corporate setting.
Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
Familiarity with communication tools and platforms.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
