Underwriting Assistant - Contingency

London

£30,000 to £35,000 + Excellent Benefits

Responsibilities

Assisting Underwriters in producing a Contingency underwriting plan in accordance with performance targets.
Entering and managing underwriting risk data and files within internal underwriting systems.
Building and maintaining good relationships with brokers and clients as needed, delivering a high quality service at all times.
Producing and analysing statistical data to assist with Underwriting decision making, as well as compliance / market returns and reports.
Working alongside internal underwriting support and compliance to ensure a high and consistent level of data integrity.
Entry and management of binder data through bordereaux and DDM.
Bordereaux monitoring with brokers and/or coverholders.
Liaising with supporting stakeholders to provide declarations and bordereaux.
Assisting the team with data presentation for Reinsurance and Consortium packs, as well as internal review meetings.
Identifying and implementing ways to improve performance of the account through new ideas, processes and approaches.
