The Cardiac Physiology team at Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) and Trafford Hospital have a vacancy for an administrative assistant. The role is 37.5 hours per week which would be a Monday to Friday working pattern, with flexibility to cover colleagues absence/annual leave at MRI/ Trafford Cardiology

Core working hours are 9am to 5pm with 1/2 hour break. (8am to 4pm or 10am to 6pm is also offered)

The role will flex between MRI and Trafford. There is free staff bus service between sites.


The initial training period of approximately 2 to 4 weeks (depending on previous HIVE/ EPIC experience) will be at MRI.

The role is based in the Manchester Heart Centre and involves administrative duties focused on cardiology practice and procedure. You will be required to carry out day to day office duties working closely with the team.

Direct patient communication experience is essential as you will be taking telephone calls from patients and documenting the outcome.

You will also be asked to contact patients regarding their appointments and discuss any administrative concerns they may have, as well as contacting other healthcare professionals to obtain or share confidential information.
