We have an exciting opportunity in our Cardiology Service situated in the Heart and Chest Clinic at Southend Hospital to provide an effective and efficient service within our diagnostics team.

Key responsibilities include processing and tracking Cardiology patients tests results.


We are looking for a hard-working, organised individual who displays a positive attitude towards work who has the ability to multi-task and be a good communicator with word processing experience essential.

The post holder will be expected to work within a small team using their own initiative and have proven clerical/administrative experience.


You will be provided with in house training provided and involves both face to face and telephone contact with patients and other service users.


Your role will be to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Cardiology diagnostics service anda day-to-day service for our test tracking system, ensuring all patients' details are forwarded to the relevant doctors, to ensure all investigations are booked as per the management plan, and an outcome letter following their investigation has been finalised, within target timeframe as set by the Department.


You will maintain effective communication with both clinical and non-clinical staff within the Trust, provide a high standard of front line customer care and a lead point of contact for patients regarding test result queries always displaying empathy and diplomacy and collect data required for departmental research and audit as appropriate.
