Job Purpose : Ulster University is seeking to employ a Research Associate to play a key role in the AHRC funded project, Future Island-Island: Green Transition Ecosystem .
This post offers an exciting opportunity for a researcher to work with a team of investigators on a national research project. Green Transition Ecosystems (GTEs) are large scale projects that focus on translating the best design-led research into real-world benefits. Capitalising on clusters of design excellence, GTEs will address distinct challenges posed by the climate crisis, including but not limited to realising net zero goals. This GTE is led by Ulster University and includes Queens University, Glasgow School of Art and University of the Arts London as well as 12 company co-investigators and 18 external partners from industry, the public sector and the community. The post-holder will be required to liaise and work with a diverse range of stakeholders associated with the project and will play an important role in supporting the research team to draft, publish and disseminate the findings and recommendations of the research in both academic and non-academic outlets. This includes the interpretation of research into value-added products through the design process. They will also be involved in the organisation of workshops, outreach activities, and impact events. Ulster University holds a Silver Athena SWAN award in recognition of our commitment to advancing gender equality in higher education,
