Job description:

As part of the role, you will support our aviation consultants in project and/or bid management and bid submission.

You will also support our Project Management Office and Quality Management team in ensuring the high quality of our work and sharing best practice to our project and bid managers.

The list of duties below will evolve during the period of the apprenticeship or as your knowledge and experience of the company develops:


  • Work as part of our Project and Bid Delivery teams to support producing project and bid material in line with hard deadlines
  • Support experienced project managers, working on live aviation consultancy projects, to develop the advanced skills and experience you need to succeed in this field
  • Coordinate and arrange project meetings both internally and with external clients
  • Eventually take on responsibility for delivering smaller tasks within larger projects, always with the support of your colleagues
  • Manage our tender monitoring process, to contribute to identifying project opportunities for the business, initially with the support of our Bid Support Coordinator
  • Coordinate the onboarding of subcontractors, ensuring all necessary contractual documents and certifications are returned before approved use, to support bid submission in a timely manner, in liaison with the UK Legal Team
  • Support Project Managers in determining necessary travel requirements to meet international client needs
  • Proactive monitoring of project risks and implementation of mitigation actions
  • Preparation of project progress reports for both internal management review and also external delivery to our clients
  • Management and implementation of internal project management processes and documenting their outcomes as part of ISO 9001 quality management system
  • Support our PMO in the preparation of data and analysis on the performance of our projects as part of our operations management process
  • If joining us through the apprenticeship scheme, towards the end of your programme, there may also be the opportunity to travel overseas and shadow some of the consultants in action

Profile:


  • A keen interest in pursuing a career in aviation project support
  • Evidence of excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Evidence of being able to accurately follow processes and instructions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage with colleagues at all levels of the business
  • To be proactive and able to demonstrate initiative with an inquisitive mind and appetite to learn
  • Take responsibility for actions
  • Ability to successfully work within a team and thrive through collaboration, as well as independent working
  • A high level of Microsoft Office and ICT skills
  • 5 GCSEs A*C or 94 including Maths and English or equivalent
  • A minimum of 48 UCAS points or equivalent

  • Someone with experience in project management support and looking for a parttime position
  • Someone with a keen interest in aviation, who would like a career in project management and learn about all the different aspects of the profession whether you're a schoolleaver, returning to work after a caree
