JOB DETAILS

A reputable national Approved Inspector are now seeking a Senior Building Control Surveyor to manage domestic and minor/low-rise commercial projects in Manchester.

Starting salary circa £50,000 to £57,000, bonus, £350 allowance, 45p per mile, in excess of 38 days' leave, with the opportunity for imminent career progression.

Senior Building Control Surveyor responsibilities:

Check plans for compliance with the Building Regulations and associated legislation
Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates
Undertake inspection of works and produce reports
At completion of works ensure all relevant inspections have been performed with appropriate certification submitted, and defects/nonconformities addressed before final certification has been issued
Support the training and development of assistant surveyors
Contribute to external client meetings
Undertake peer review audits on an adhoc basis

Senior Building Control Surveyor requirements:

Full membership preferred; RICS, CABE, CIOB
Existing residential /commercial Building Control Inspector experience including plan assessments
Interpersonal skills
Selfsufficient workload management
Uptodate knowledge of Building Regulations and associated standards
