Reed HR are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to join our wonderful client on a full time, permanent basis.


General Information:


  • Reporting to: HR Business Partner
  • Hours: 35 per week (8.30am 4.30pm with flexibility)
  • 11 within the supportive HR team
  • Occasional travel required to other sites you would ideally need to be a driver or live locally to Cobham
  • Hybrid working available 1/2 days work from home with potential to do more home working in the summer months

Role Purpose:

The HR Advisor role is a key client facing role.

It represents the face of my clients employer brand and provides a trusted advisor service on HR policies and procedures etc.


My client is looking for someone with good ER experience who has had exposure to caseloads such as disciplinaries etc.

My client is looking for someone who is CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified (or studying)


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure values and DEI agenda are being embedded in the culture, policies and processes
  • Identify peoplerelated gaps to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, lead and run change management projects if required
  • Assist in design and delivery/sourcing of highquality line management training where required
  • Work closely with recruitment to ensure that recruitment needs are identified with line management and approval to recruit is obtained for recruitment to start on a timely basis. Support recruitment and induction/onboarding of new staff, including appropriatesupport to those staff recruited from overseas
  • Ensure managers are aware of employment vetting, preemployment checks, immigration regulations and requirements and know what is required of them for the organisation to maintain compliance
  • Participate with the wider HR team in design and delivery of improved induction and onboarding processes for new employees
  • Monitor absence data and review trends/cases with line managers to ensure that absences are closed, sick pay is correctly determined/approved and OH referrals are made where appropriate
  • Work with HR team colleagues (reward specialist/analyst) to ensure that the annual salary review is delivered effectively
  • Work closely with the HR Administrators to ensure legally compliant and uptodate information is held on the HR Information System
  • Ensure payroll changes are given to the HR Admin team in a timely and effective manner
  • Manage flexible leave requests and provide advisory support to line managers and employees on maternity/paternity/ other leave requests
  • Conduct and record exit interviews for leavers, reporting data insights and ensuring any follow up action as appropriate
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions and look for opportunities to improve HR practices and procedures, providing suggestions and solutions and reviewing/updating HR policies
