    We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operator to be a Production Team Leader at a PVC Extrusion plant; part of a larger Production facility.

    Established in 1994, Dunster House Ltd is a growing family-run international business, currently employing approximately 400 people across our 11 UK sites.

    This job is based out of our Huntly branch
    • AB54 4PS.
    The candidate should have a background in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering. Preferably with extrusion experience but not essential, as training will be provided.

    We will welcome applications from Graduates, with a minimum 2.1 Hons degree in a Technical subject with a hands-on and can-do attitude to develop, manage, and run an extrusion line, as well as wider Production Management skills.

    The right individual will be able to demonstrate problem-solving and have strong personal traits, such as assertiveness and initiative, as well as administration and time management skills in order to succeed.


    Duties:

    • Assistant to the Production Manager
    • Manage production in the absence of the Production Manager
    • Setup/operation/shutdown of the PVC extrusion line and peripheral machinery
    • Coordinating with the Maintenance Engineer during problem-solving, breakdowns, and improvement efforts
    • Identify faults and carry out basic maintenance activities Requirements:
    • Right to work in the UK with no sponsorship
    • Experience of working in a production environment is preferred but not essential
    • Have an aptitude for technical work and a good understanding of the extrusion process, although full training will be provided
    • Ability to be flexible and work without supervision
    • Competent in problem solving, planning, and decision making with the ability to work under pressure, in a quality and results-driven environment
    • Positive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
