    Smart Solutions are working with a building services design business who are seeking a dynamic Electrical Design Engineer, who will work as part of a close-knit and highly motivated team in a modern MEP Building Services Consultancy based in Wales.

    You will already be working as an Electrical Design Engineer within the Building Services sector and looking to progress and advance your career and profile within the industry.


    Hours:
    Monday to Friday, flexible start times, 8am/9am. 3 days in the office a week required.
    Electrical Design Engineer duties include:

    • Understand client needs, interpret and confirm the project brief.
    • Lead an M&E Team in the coordination and delivery of individual projects, including attendance at meetings, internal programming, project reviews etc.
    • Provide input on design strategy and conceptual design relative to electrical installations.
    • Undertake detailed design of electrical installations in a range of building projects including the production of design drawings, diagrams and schematics along with project specifications and schedules.
    • Design electrical installations in line with relevant British Standards, Building Regulations, and other relevant standards.
    • Design electrical installations to meet requirements for energy efficiency and low carbon requirements where required.
    • Understand mechanical engineering systems and the ability to report of both disciplines during meetings, where required.

    A strong electrical design background, understand diagrams, be confident to represent the company and have an understanding of industry software packages.


    • Be an excellent communicator who can articulate complicated issues between our clients and project teams.
    • An attractive starting salary of £35,000 - £60,000, depending on experience.
