    Site Technician – Wentworth House Technical Services

    Company overview:

    Wentworth House Technical Services are a new specialist division within Wentworth House Partnership, providing a wide range of structural testing, investigation, remedial and strengthening solutions for complex projects.

    Senior Site technician role overview:

    We are looking to employ an experienced senior site technician to join our testing division to work on a range of site investigation projects across London and the home counties.

    The main duties of the role will involve managing a team of site technicians, allocating their day to day works and checking that all their works are in line with the relevant company procedures and industry standards. Training site technician as required and maintaining QA records.

    You will also be involved with day-to-day site works, carrying out tests and producing reports. You will be proficient in the use with some or all of our various specialist testing equipment and undertaking in-situ testing, including:

    Plate Bearing Tests

    Dynamic cone penetrometer tests

    Pull out and shear tests on bolts and fixings.

    GPR / Ferro-scanning

    WHTS also carry out several other structural tests; such as load capacity tests, barrier tests, and more. The right candidate will also be shown how to carry out these tests to assist our team across the division.

    This list is not exhaustive, and the candidate will be expected to take a leading role, get actively involved and become an integral part of the team.

    Candidates as a minimum should have the following capabilities:

    · At least 3 years on site experience as a site technician / senior site technician.

    · Numeracy and literacy to GCSE level C or equivalent

    · CSCS card

    · Capable of impartially recording data and producing technical reports

    · Clear communicator, both written and spoken English

    · Clean UK manual driving licence - company van will be provided.

    · Proficient in the use of MS Excel and Word.

    · Knowledge of structures and construction materials

    · Willing to travel and work on site in adverse weather conditions.
