What We're Looking For:


Chelsea FC Foundation are looking for a London School PDP Coordinator to deliver high quality sports provision and support the Area Lead and Officers in co-ordinating specific activities across partnered schools.


Brief description and duties:


  • To support the Area Lead in the effective planning and execution of the core programme/ PDP running in the area. These to include, but not limited to all In-School and Out of School activity, Player Development Programme activity and the various activity delivered during the school holidays.
  • To deliver safe, inclusive and highquality coaching activity on a daily basis across the core programmes currently running. These to include, but not limited to all In-School and Out of School activity, Player Development Programme activity and the various activity delivered during the school holidays.
  • To support the Area Lead on developing the wider area network opportunities in the area to create additional sporting opportunities to further enhance the delivery programme.
  • Where required, to lead on aspects of support for the sessional staff and contracted coaches, this could include the induction and onboarding, training and CPD, mentoring opportunities, scheduling, appropriate resources and quality assuring.
  • Where line management of contracted staff is in place having regular 1:1's to review performance and KPI's and objectives, involvement in team meetings and investing in their development/training opportunities/CPD.
  • To carry out duties relevant to legislation and Foundation policies and procedures.
  • To undertake any Foundation activities that maybe required in addition to the role.

Must Haves/qualified by demonstrable experience to the level required:

  • A minimum of the new FA Introduction to Football Coaching qualification. (FA Level 2 is the equivalent qualification).
  • In date FA Safeguarding Children course & the FA Introduction to First Aid in Football certificate.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Been involved in community/grass roots sports as a coach and participant.
  • Led or been involved in a project being delivered to a local community group.
  • Worked as part of a team to achieve a single goal.
  • Worked within a School setting.
