About the company

Our client a Global leader in their field is looking for a Head of Engineering & Capital Projects to join their team in Cumbria.

Working closely with the UK Head of Operations you will ensure health and safety standards are adhered to, as well as identify areas of potential risk and implement appropriate action where required.

Head of Engineering & Capital Projects - Responsibilities

  • Site Lead for delivery of all Capital Expenditure projects in line with future growth.
  • Lead on Factory Digitalization thinking and future growth.
  • Responsible for all Site Infrastructure and Facilities Management.
  • Support ISO 9001 Factory Standards.
  • Working with 3rd party suppliers of robotics to enhance automation solutions within.
  • Capacity expansion lead supporting future growth.
  • Lead and motivate the Engineering Team, providing clear and consistent feedback, coaching and developmental opportunities including timely and meaningful performance appraisals.
  • Provide clear expectations to the Engineering Team to ensure they have the tools, training and education to support the Factory.
  • Support delivery of the strategic plan to include the implementation and roll out of new systems.
  • Ensure that records are established and maintained to provide evidence that processes are being followed and continuous improvement is taking place. Ensure recommendations and implementations of new and existing processes are reviewed at planned intervalsto ensure effectiveness.
  • Ensure all machinery is working to optimum capability, prioritising and responding to any issues that may affect production in an efficient and effective manner.
  • To be an advocate for health and safety/environmental matters and participate in rolling out change initiatives in these areas.
  • To be a point of contact for local authorities.
