The salary will be up to £30,000 depending on experience
The position is full time Monday-Friday with 2:9 Saturday shifts. The earliest start time would be 8am and the latest finish time 8pm. There are no out of hours. Saturday shifts are worked on a rota and consist of alternating inpatient and consult shifts. We are open to working with you to secure the appropriate shift pattern for you and us.
Who we are
Barrow Hill Veterinary Centre is a purpose-built building situated in the beautiful Garden of England, Ashford, Kent. We are close to Ashford international station and shopping outlet, 15 miles from the coast and euro tunnel for access to Europe and the beautiful city of Canterbury is only a 20-minute drive.We have state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, orthopaedic equipment, k-laser unit, a CT scanner, and endoscopy. We have separate dog and cat wards and a separate isolation ward.
The practice has a caring and supportive culture and there is plenty of opportunity to learn from both senior and visiting colleagues. We encourage the sharing of CPD and best practice and hold regular M&M meetings to ensure that we are delivering the best care for both our patients and clients. The welfare of our team is very important to us, and we constantly strive to ensure a good work-life balance and supportive working environment.
Join our experienced and collaborative team
Currently our team consists of 8 Veterinary Surgeons supported by 14 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 1 Animal Care Assistant, a Client Care Manager, 12 Receptionists, an Insurance Administrator, a bookings clerk and a Practice Director who manages the entire team.Three of our Vets hold a CertAVP and we have visiting specialists in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, and cardiology.
