RMS are recruiting for a multi sector Engineering business at the forefront of their industry.

Due to a period of planned sustained growth they are looking for a Production Planner to join the team in Gloucester.

You will support the Operations Team to ensure the timely delivery of materials. Plan, schedule and monitor movement of product, ensuring quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct.


Key duties and responsibilities:


  • Prepare & send delivery schedules on a monthly basis to the material suppliers which supports Production requirements
  • Release subcontract materials & paperwork where needed
  • Progress Subcontractor's to ensure production targets are achieved
  • Progress outstanding materials to ensure production targets are achieved.
  • Progress missing certification/paperwork where needed
  • Multidiscipline collaboration, to minimise downtime and streamline work flow
  • Lead internal weekly meetings to plan and monitor the work load priorities
  • Liaise with project team ensuring that materials are dispatched in a timely manner to meet schedule
  • Proactively contact suppliers to ensure on time delivery and communicate any issues to the production teams
  • Manage and control inventory stock counting accuracy checks along with inventory amount/location/cost report completion for the annual stock take
  • Update/upkeep material trackers spreadsheets for call off materials and distribute accordingly
  • Essential to be IT literate, with good working knowledge of Excel & ERP Systems
  • Able to prioritise own workload, understand schedules and meet tight deadlines
  • A clear and concise team player who is organised and approachable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner
  • Comfortable dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of 5S and other Good Business Practices
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Working to schedules and adaptable to change
  • Customer facing and/or working with multidiscipline teams
  • Minimum educated to GCSE level, including maths and English

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£33,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
