Job Purpose/Job Overview:


Reporting to the Area Partner Director, the Partner Account Manager will be responsible for developing and running selected channel partners in the UK.

Working in conjunction with other Account Managers, Partner Account Managers, Inside Sales and Distribution Managers, you will complete agreed Partner Business Plans to achieve our joint business growth goals.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Drive the channel development strategy within the assigned Juniper Partners
  • Develop strong channel presence in the UK market with related quality in certifications and specialisation under the J-Partner Advantage Program
  • Lead territory partners, including forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations and opportunity management
  • Position endtoend solutions and articulate Juniper strategies to senior management
  • Develop relationships with channel partners and distributors for leads and joint marketing/sales activities
  • Work closely with the Juniper sales teams to ensure the successful implementation of the direct touch sales model
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts for commercial business to sales management
  • Drive Juniper Partner Deal Registration
  • Coordinate finance, services and marketing activities within region channels
  • Broadbased technological awareness, complemented by knowledge of data networking and security concepts/products within the data networking arena

Person Specification/Key capabilities, competencies and qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a dynamic and fastpace environment
  • Must have the ability to work autonomously, be selfmotivated and a strong team builder
  • Strong presenter and closer
  • Ability to Travel
  • Demonstrate the vital skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy
  • Must be willing to adapt as necessary to accommodate changes in industry and company direction
  • Must have experience developing sales/channel strategies, preparing proposals and presenting networking and security products
  • Must be able to articulate success record and define how they will make a difference
  • Must have a commitment to customer service and the motivation to work with limited supervision are important position traits.
