    Technical Director

    South Wales – Remote

    Circa £120,000 + package

    Do you want to join a growing ICP specialising in utility infrastructure installations for Industrial & commercial, Solar, and BESS projects?

    With exciting plans to grow the division and the increased work in the pipeline, we are seeking a technical director to join and make a difference by bringing or their expertise to further grow the business.

    You will be a vital part in the development of the business with plans to increase turnover 6x over across the next year.

    Responsibilities:

    • Technical Expertise - Demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in electrical installations, focusing on systems up to and including 33kV (132kV bonus)
    • Design Interpretation - Ability to read and interpret electrical designs, schematics, and drawings to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance to clients
    • Client Advisory - Acting as a technical advisor to clients, providing guidance and recommendations on electrical installations, equipment selection, and compliance with regulatory standards
    • Remote Support - Offering remote technical support to clients and project teams, including troubleshooting, problem-solving, and addressing technical inquiries via email, phone, or video conferencing
    • Site Visits - Occasionally attending project sites to assess installations, provide technical assistance, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations

    Requirements for the role:

    • Full understanding of design works up to and including 33Kv networks for all DNO areas
    • Understanding and interpretation of the design process including ICP Processes to enable detailed collaboration with the design team and client / Main contractor
    • Overall Knowledge of the legal process between DNO / IDNO / and client / landowner
    • Understanding of all materials and component requirements to facilitate installations of up to and including 33Kv
    • Sound Knowledge of G81 documents for all DNO / IDNO areas
    • Full understanding of the IDNO adoption process
    • Either an MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering
