Hackney Council is looking for someone with excellent organisational skills to join our Resident Safety Team. As Technical Support Officer, you will coordinate our work to make housing safer.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Resident Safety team, working to make Hackney a place for everyone.

Hackney Council manages over 30,000 properties across the borough. Our team works hard to create safe, affordable homes for people who need them.Day to day you will provide a variety of administrative support for the
Resident Safety Team:
managing diaries, drafting letters and responding to enquiries, monitoring compliance, writing reports, dealing with fire risk assessment, health and safety inspections and project support.
We need someone with an excellent approach to customer service. Someone who can build solid working relationships with a variety of people. You will be liaising directly with residents and others, mostly over the phone but also working face to face. You will need a professional yet sensitive approach to prioritise a range of issues and a competing workload.
You must have a good track record as an administrator, in return you will get the chance to gain valuable experience of housing management among other staff benefits offered by London Borough of Hackney.
We will need you to develop and maintain high quality administrative and management information systems to support the work of the team, and ensure that all key project documentation is filed in accordance with council procedures.
You will work in conjunction with relevant senior officers to ensure that administrative and project support is provided to cover the requirements of different work streams within the team.
You will support the Resident Safety team in developing ongoing improvements to digital record keeping, migrating key documents to new systems as required, and contributing to the development of new procedures.
