Working with the Financial Controller you will support the preparation of the monthly closing process, P&L and Balance sheet reconciliation.
We are looking for a
management accountant who can support accurate commentary to support key business decisions and provide insight to the add value to the wider finance team and business.
management accountant will play a key role in the forecasting and budgeting process.
This role involves but is not limited to:
- Support the monthly financial close process including the preparation of General Ledger journal entries, supporting documentation and subsequent P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations for your areas of responsibility
- Analyse P&L and Balance Sheet variances providing clear, concise commentary to aid understanding of key drivers
- Effectively communicate issues and provide advice to other Taylor Rose offices, the rest of the Finance team (AP, Cashiers, Billing, Credit Control) and the wider Finance team within the Group
- Respond to adhoc information requests and performing adhoc data analysis
- Support continual improvement activities with a strong focus on finance processes and projects
- Assist with the annual financial audit process ensuring all information requested by external auditors is produced accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist with the forecasting and budgeting processes
Requirements:
- Qualified / Part Qualified accountant with strong financial and management accounting background (ACA, ACMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Legal experience preferred but not essential
- Experience of working in high performing teams with willingness to help and appreciation of the importance of deadlines and commitments and being able to multitask. Ability to operate in a calm and friendly manner essential
- Ability to manage relationships and communicate at all levels across all departments
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- High levels of attention to detail
- Professional approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Experience of using 3E or other similar practice management system; willingness and fast ability to pick up new systems
- Ability to 'run with the program'
