Working with the Financial Controller you will support the preparation of the monthly closing process, P&L and Balance sheet reconciliation.

We are looking for a
management accountant who can support accurate commentary to support key business decisions and provide insight to the add value to the wider finance team and business.

The
management accountant will play a key role in the forecasting and budgeting process.


This role involves but is not limited to:

  • Support the monthly financial close process including the preparation of General Ledger journal entries, supporting documentation and subsequent P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations for your areas of responsibility
  • Analyse P&L and Balance Sheet variances providing clear, concise commentary to aid understanding of key drivers
  • Effectively communicate issues and provide advice to other Taylor Rose offices, the rest of the Finance team (AP, Cashiers, Billing, Credit Control) and the wider Finance team within the Group
  • Respond to adhoc information requests and performing adhoc data analysis
  • Support continual improvement activities with a strong focus on finance processes and projects
  • Assist with the annual financial audit process ensuring all information requested by external auditors is produced accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist with the forecasting and budgeting processes

Requirements:


  • Qualified / Part Qualified accountant with strong financial and management accounting background (ACA, ACMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Legal experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience of working in high performing teams with willingness to help and appreciation of the importance of deadlines and commitments and being able to multitask. Ability to operate in a calm and friendly manner essential
  • Ability to manage relationships and communicate at all levels across all departments
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Professional approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office
  • Experience of using 3E or other similar practice management system; willingness and fast ability to pick up new systems
  • Ability to 'run with the program'
