Description

Acorn is recruiting for a Project Support Officer to assist the Project Manager with the timely, efficient and effective delivery of projects and programmes particularly those relating to information systems to meet identified business needs.

The provision of support for project management processes, procedures, tools and techniques to the Project Manager and project teams.

  • Tracking and reporting of progress and performance of one or more projects
  • The use of project management software in the maintenance of project and programme plans
  • The servicing of Project Boards and other associated meetings
  • Acts as first point of contact for enquiries from end users
  • May train end users of the project
  • Manages elements of a project
  • Supports performance improvement
  • Support Project Manager with project budget
  • Support Project Manager with benefits realisation framework process

Knowledge and experience:

  • Project office experience in the implementation and support of systems.
  • Moderate experience working with Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Some experience working with procurement activities, preferably within an NHS environment.
  • Some experience working with project budgets.
  • Understating of a range of project management procedures and practices, underpinned by theoretical knowledge and/or relevant practical experience, preferably within an IT or NHS environment.
Mon - Fri 37.5 hours per week

£11.76 per hour
