    We are actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Project Developer to join the dynamic team at ABEI ENERGY, a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) specializing in renewable energy projects.

    ABEI ENERGY is at the forefront of the renewable energy industry, managing projects that generate power from various sustainable resources such as photovoltaic, CSP, biomass, wind, hydroelectric, and cogeneration technologies.

    Flexible on location in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland with preference for midlands or Dublin based. Monthly reporting in person to the Bristol or Edinburgh office.

    As a Project Developer , you will play a vital role within our UK Project Development Team.

    Your primary responsibility will be identifying and assessing potential commercial scale renewable energy sites (solar, battery and onshore wind) and building a business case to present to senior management for approval.

    In addition, you will work alongside the Technical Office to build relationships with District Network Operators and submit grid applications.

    Overseeing the project throughout the development process, working with colleagues to gain an implementable planning permission and deliver a 'Ready To Build' site.

    Lead the negotiation of heads of terms with landowners and work alongside internal and external colleagues during the legal process to enter into option agreements and, ultimately, lease agreements.

    Building relationships with Land Agents & Eirgrid / ESB Networks representatives.
    Working with colleagues in the Technical Office to make grid applications / studies and manage the process.

    Producing business cases for each development opportunity and project and communicating this to senior management in order to obtain formal approval before proceeding to next gateway.

    Overseeing and working alongside colleagues during the planning process to deliver an implemental planning consent to financial close.
    Identifying and building strong relationships with project stakeholders.
    Tracking project progress and risks, providing insightful analysis and reporting to senior management.
    Budgetary management of individual projects and moving them through the development process and different gateways.

    Degree qualified in a planning, surveying, engineering or an environmental discipline, preferably with, or working towards, a professional membership.

    Experience within the renewables or energy or infrastructure industry in project management, and of the planning process.
    Excellent report writing, communication and project management skills.
    A flexible attitude to work and the ability to travel regularly throughout Ireland and UK at short notice.
    Full UK or Ireland Driving Licence.
