    Introduction KLM UK Engineering Limited is a leading UK-based Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) offering a high-quality service and products from its head office location at Norwich Airport.

    With 6 fully equipped modern heavy maintenance bays across 3 hangars and over 40 years of experience on many aircraft types, including Embraer 170/190, Boeing 737 All Series, Airbus A320 Family, BAe 146 & Avro RJ, KLM UK Engineering has a solid customer base.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen following an internal promotion, for a Health & Safety Advisor to join us at KLM UK Engineering where Safety is our first value.

    Reporting directly into the Health & Safety Manager, the successful candidate will support delivery of the Health & Safety agenda for KLMUKE.

    Support the Health & Safety Manager in delivery of the health and safety plan
    Providing Health & Safety support to the Department Managers, Project Mangers, Supervisors on a day-to-day basis
    Provide Health & Safety advice to the Management team as required, including HSE guidance and best practice
    Assist in the development and implementation of risk assessments and safe systems of work
    Leading and facilitating Health & Safety improvement projects
    Conducting Health & Safety audits
    Delivering in-house short health and safety training sessions to employees

    Experience of working within manual, high risk environments such as engineering, manufacturing, construction where there is a proactive, best in class safety culture
    Strong competence in incident investigation and root cause analysis
    Knowledge of relevant legislation and experience of working with regulatory bodies.
    Ability to share best practice safety behaviours with colleagues to positively change the safety culture of the business.
    An aptitude for coaching and training team members in H&S matters
    Experience of working within a proactive safety culture or delivery of a behavioural safety programme
    NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent) and member of IOSH would be advantageous.
    Salary £35 - £37K pa (depending on skills and experience)
