    This is an exciting opportunity for a part-time Payroll and General Administrator to join a friendly, family run business established over 130 years ago.

    Based in Cold Higham, near Towcester, the role is Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week.
    The role is office based, a driving licence essential due to the rural location. Free parking is provided on site.

    Our candidate needs to be from a payroll background, who has history in processing wages/salaries and can handle matters confidentially and sensitively.

    We use Sage 50 Payroll and although ideal, experience in any other payroll software is sufficient.


    • Preparation/data entry of weekly and monthly payrolls, including calculating and processing adjustments, generating the payroll reports, and publishing payslips
    • Knowledge and understanding of payroll processes; statutory requirements, administrating court orders, minimum wage legislation, holiday/sickness data
    • Administration of Tax Year End documentation including P60's. P11D knowledge would also be beneficial but not critical.
    • Preparing data and joining new employees to the group pension.
    • Involved in full employee lifecycle, processing new starters, contracts and offer letters, collating personnel files and references. Ensure that Contract of Employment, Job Offer Letters, Reference Letter, and Employee Handbook adhere to current legislation
    • Monitoring sickness, holidays and probation reviews – liaising with relevant Heads of Department where necessary to support
    • To ensure a good working relationship between the Company and the employment law advisers
    • To be included on the 'ring-a-round' to answer the telephones
    • Liaising with internal/external staff you should be confident communicating via email, telephone and face to face
    • Other general administration and reasonable duties that may occur
    Helpful and approachable, you must be able to handle matters in a confidential and discreet manner.

    A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is required, with a basic understanding of word/excel in the first instance.

    Part time role, Monday to Friday @ £13.00 per hour
