    The Role:

    Based within our HR Team at our Glasgow Head Office, we are looking for an experienced HR professional to cover a temporary maternity contract. The Senior HR Advisor will assist the HR Manager and Head of HR to provide a proactive and effective HR service across all division of the business. As a Senior HR Advisor for GAP Group, you will provide advice, guidance and support to managers and employees on all employee related matters including discipline, guidance, absence management and HR policies and procedures. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role working across GAP Group's 10 Divisions and you will be responsible for ensuring that the best advice and support is provided to General Managers and employees on aspects of employee relations.

    Working as a part of a high-performing team, you will build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across the business ensuring that their support and advisory needs are met. You will work closely with the Recruitment and Learning & Development teams to ensure that we continue to deliver a first-class service to the business.

    About You

    Successful candidates should demonstrate the following:

    • Recent and proven experience working in a fast-paced HR role, operating across multi-sites preferably within a similar sized organisation
    • An effective communicator, both written and verbally, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
    • Have a comprehensive understanding of HR law particularly relating to contract, terms and conditions, discrimination, and maternity/paternity queries.
    • Previous experience of coaching and guiding Managers to effectively deal with HR issues.
    • Experience of managing disciplinary, grievance and absence issues
    • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
    • Proficient in MS Office packages including Excel and Word is essential.
