Description
The receptionist role is essential to ensure the efficient pathway flow of patients through the Radiology department.

This post is part of a pool of staff who will help to cover all Radiology reception desks within Radiology.

Without sufficient reception staff we are unable to support 7 day working that is essential to achieve waiting time KPIs.

The receptionists also help cover the back office duties, providing a timely turnaround and supporting patient pathways.

Radiology receptionists ensure patient's information is up to date and accurate on both Radiology and Trust wide information systems.

They are a further pause in the process for positive patient identification and help to highlight patient ID queries which supports IRMER compliance.

The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community.

We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence.

These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family.

You will work in a busy patient centred department as part of an administration and clerical team with good peer group support and with appropriate training provided as necessary.
