    Title: Event Business Development Manager

    Location: Hybrid

    Report: Head of Sales

    Salary: £30 - 35k + 50% uncapped OTE

    About the role

    We are looking for an ambitious and innovative Business Development Manager for Agircultural event.

    The main function of the role is to develop the event through growth in revenue, yield, and increase customer/exhibitor/sponsorship numbers. You will assist in growing/evolving the event through extensive phone-based exhibition sales and face to face meetings.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct sales pitches by telephone or face to face (when appropriate) to existing and prospective clients to develop existing business and generate new business wherever possible.
    • Build and manage a sales pipeline of prospective leads by researching and identifying new opportunities in the market
    • Work with other key stakeholders to manage and develop the show floor plan.
    • Communicate with other departments to ensure the successful coordination of the event
    • Constantly demonstrate high levels of customer service to new and existing customers
    • Accurately managing records through our sales CRM and database.
    • Pitch all relevant products and sales opportunities and communicate promptly to customers. Advise on the most effective solution to meet client needs within the company portfolio.
    • Work towards and achieve pre-set sales targets.
    • Attending industry events throughout the year

    About you:

    • Previous experience in a telephone based sales position is essential
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Solid level of event/exhibition knowledge - beneficial
    • Strong sales ability to establish a deep understanding of the company need to provide the relevant solution
    • Have the ability to work to targets
    • Ability to accurately forecast future sales
    • Keep abreast of all current trends, activities and relevant news within agriculture and specific sector.
    • Have a positive, "can do" attitude
    • Good working knowledge of a CRM system and Microsoft packages
    • Experience of working with Salesforce - beneficial
    • Effective time manager who possesses highly effective organisational skills
