FIND are a recruitment business servicing the Human Capital sector.We are currently recruiting for a Head of HR. You'll be working for one of the UK's largest Apprenticeship & Training providers in the UK. This business has recently completed a carve out deal, financed by a Private Equity company. As is stands, they haveaccess to shared service (including HR) function, but that will dispear once the deal completes.
I'm recruiting the Head of HR to set up a new HR function in NewCo.
The Business:
- 550 heads
- Based from Coventry (Head office) with satelite offices in Reading, Leamington & Milton Keynes)
- Head of HR will report directly into CEO
- Managing 1 BP, 2 Advisors & 1 H&S Manager
The Role:
- Most senior HR role in the organisation.
- Ensure that the HR function provides true business partnering support to the operational teams.
- Key part of the senior leadership team.
- Be instrumental in rolling out of the vision, values and people strategy.
- Drive a culture encouraging continuous personal development for our team.
- Lead and manage strong health and safety support.
- Be responsible for an effective recruitment offering.
- Lead an overhaul of the appraisal and performance management process.
- Ensure we have robust and suitable HR policies and procedures
- Work closely with the business to ensure professional, effective and responsive HR support.
- Be a natural communicator and adept at influencing, forging relationships across the business to allow meaningful and effective collaboration.
- Be key in developing and implementing the people strategy
- Manage health and safety to ensure that we have a proactive and safe working environment for our teams.
- Create and implement a strategy for encouraging and empowering personal development of colleagues.
- Propose and implement a new goal setting and appraisal process which rewards excellent performance and supports development needs.
- Draft and maintain suitable HR policies and procedures. Ensure that these are clearly communicated to the team and are easily accessible.
- Experience of leading an HR function across a diverse organisation, delivering all aspects of Business Partnering.
- Examples of implementing change.
- Evidence of supporting a business through difficult employee engagement situations.
- Dynamic ideas to reshape our approach to attract, develop, support and retain a high performing team.
- Commercial acumen, with experience working in a diverse multisite environment.
- Clear understanding of leading an excellent health and safety culture.
Location:
Home based with regular travel to Head Office & satelite sites
