Description

Our prestigious client is offering a fantastic opportunity for an up-and-coming support technician to become a 'rock-star' of support in a growing network.

The group project is expected to grow nationally so being the first in, presents a great opportunityto learn, gain new skills and potentially go on to become a thought leader in your field.

You will already have experience and competence in first line IT support, possessing greatinterpersonal skills. Ideally you will possess a thoughtful 'can-do' attitude with a thirst for learning in both technologies and processes.


The client will be offering Microsoft-centric support services to small businesses with a focus on data protection, communications, collaboration and information security.

The portfolio will include M365, Meraki WiFi, routing & Security, HP desktops & laptopsand other associated vendors.

Full training in specific technologies, industry methodologies, tools and service will be provided over time and as appropriate.


Role/Responsibilities:

Onboarding & Provisioning:

  • Engaging with customers to understand their current environment (audit & results).
  • This may include onsite, remote and extended working hours.
  • Taking their configurations and populating the knowledge base.
  • Implementing new technologies from our approved portfolio into their base.
  • Reconfiguring existing technologies to meet at least our minimum supported configuration.

Support:

  • 1st Line support and incident resolution using the tools provided & experience
  • 2nd Line support & manufacturer engagement
  • 3rd Party incident management managing collaborative partners to resolution.
  • Escalating major incidents, major outages, problems, skills gaps & 3rd party missed SLAs.
  • Updating the knowledge base
  • Updating the ticketing system with accurate data.

Essential experience:

  • 1+ year experience in IT Support Environment


  • General networking skills

  • WLAN, WAN, LAN configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Windows Desktop Support and relevant technologies
  • Directory services, DHCP, DNS
  • Support of the core & common components of M36
  • Knowledge of Azure Active Directory and Office36
  • Install, configure, and repair software and equipment, including laptops, desktops, phones and cloud services.
  • Experience of a service management toolset used for remote monitoring and management, incident resolution, knowledge management and/or contract & asset management.
