Description
A leading organisation near Borough, London has a vacancy for a full time Bookkeeper (hybrid) to join their team on a 9-month FTC basis.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of transactional finance of the business which has a turnover circa5 million per year, reporting to the Head of Finance.
Responsibilities
- Full control of purchase ledger, assisting with sales ledger.
- Inputting invoices and ensuring their approval for payment
- Formulating and setting up weekly payment runs
- Resolving queries from customers and suppliers
- Filing invoices
- Preparing bank reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Reviewing and posting staff and credit card expenses
- Reconciling nominal ledger.
- Ensuring fixed assets register is up to date
- Assisting Head of Finance preparing month end, and year end accounts for review by external accountants.
- Any other adhoc tasks relating to the financial aspects of the organisation
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience of working with QuickBooks would be desirable
- Excellent organisational skills, able to meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and ability to close out tasks
- Proactive and professional approach
