A leading organisation near Borough, London has a vacancy for a full time Bookkeeper (hybrid) to join their team on a 9-month FTC basis.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of transactional finance of the business which has a turnover circa5 million per year, reporting to the Head of Finance.


Responsibilities

  • Full control of purchase ledger, assisting with sales ledger.
  • Inputting invoices and ensuring their approval for payment
  • Formulating and setting up weekly payment runs
  • Resolving queries from customers and suppliers
  • Filing invoices
  • Preparing bank reconciliations
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
  • Reviewing and posting staff and credit card expenses
  • Reconciling nominal ledger.
  • Ensuring fixed assets register is up to date
  • Assisting Head of Finance preparing month end, and year end accounts for review by external accountants.
  • Any other adhoc tasks relating to the financial aspects of the organisation

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience of working with QuickBooks would be desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and ability to close out tasks
  • Proactive and professional approach
