    Assistant Buyer

    North West

    Up to £28,000

    I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to join a well know retailer based within their Head Office function in the North West.

    You will be responsible for assisting the Buyers in delivering a new product assortment for your specific category area. Supporting the buying team to develop products and ranges that to continuously innovate and are in line with the brands strategies.

    Your main responsibilities as an Assistant Buyer will include.

    • Monitor Sales, Margins & profits again targets and produce reports as requested
    • Oversee the critical path management & ensure all targets & key dates are achieved on time.
    • Assisting in identifying & developing new products to enhance the category portfolio.
    • Monitoring the fabric & design samples
    • Managing fit sessions and finalising samples sign off
    • Providing product technical data support to the team
    • Maintain cross functional relationships to achieve the overall product & category strategy.
    • Monitoring competitor information, market trends, category insight and highlight to the senior team

    Key requirements for the role.

    • Proven experience as an Assistant Buyer within a fashion or homewares environment.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels
    • Good working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projects
    • Excellent understanding of all MS Office products including advanced Excel
