Description

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing mechanical operations within our RECAP project.

You will be responsible for leading a team and ensuring that all mechanical systems and equipment are functioning efficiently and safely.

Your expertise will contribute to maintaining optimal performance, minimising downtime, and upholding quality standards.


Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership: Lead and manage a team of mechanical technicians, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure efficient operations.

Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, including machinery, equipment, and facilities.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all mechanical work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements, conducting inspections and audits as necessary.

Scheduling and Planning: Develop and implement maintenance schedules, work plans, and strategies to optimise equipment performance and minimise downtime.

Training and Development: Train new team members on proper procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation. Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.

Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns promptly.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and supplies required for mechanical maintenance and repair activities

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, equipment performance, and inventory. Generate reports as needed to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.


Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and supervision, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in mechanical systems, equipment, and tools. Strong understanding of maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and business needs. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as required.
