Description

Providing more than just retirement apartments, The Shires Retirement Village offers first class accommodation with an array of communal facilities and a varied activity schedule.

As our night staff you will have responsibility for looking after our residents and the building at night. The 8pm start will enable you to interact with residents and assist in some evening activities and events. Housekeeping & laundry is also required in this role

Duties
Answering any emergency calls from residents

Sitting at reception responding to any resident or public enquires

Assisting in any evening entertainment, events or activities

Set up/down of communal areas for events or meetings

Health & Safety checks

Security checks

Cleaning of communal areas & rubbish removal

Laundry

Basic handover reporting of any overnight incidents for day team

This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you may be asked to undertake other tasks by your manager

Who we are looking for:

A positive attitude, great communicator and friendly approach is essential in this role.

Ability to build relationship with residents

Ability to keep a calm attitude and a level head in stressful situations

Ability to follow task list and work independently

Its preferable but not essential to have experience working with the elderly or care sectors
