    Sinclair Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Electrician to join our clients team based in Runcorn.

    Requirements

    NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation

    City and Guilds 18th edition wiring regulations

    AM2

    PASMA

    IPAF

    H&S

    ECS Card.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:

    Carry out all work in a strict compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (as amended)

    To understand and comply with Company Policies and Procedures

    Understand and comply with the Company Environmental Policies

    To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures e.g. toolbox talks, PPE etc.

    Due care and attention to mitigate any unpleasant working conditions by ensuring that PPE equipment is used properly, as and when required

    Use hand and power tools to current legislative standards, performance standards and in accordance with the Company's procedures

    Ensure work is carried out to the highest standard

    Adhere to safety regulations

    Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools as above

    Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem

    Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other electrical components

    Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with regulations

    Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous

    Report to Management any accidents, incidents or near misses

    Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using test devices such as an ohmmeter/voltmeter to ensure compatibility and safety of system

    Complete all necessary paperwork and NICEIC records to current legislative standards and in accordance with the Company's procedures

    Ability to communicate with Management, Supervisors, other Electricians, Labourers, Apprentices, Sub-Contractors and Customers

    Help to train the Apprentices

    Able to work to strict deadlines

    Establish, or adjust, work procedures to meet schedules/deadlines

    Completion of relevant paperwork e.g. job notes, test certificates, timesheets, mileage forms, to current legislative standards and in accordance with the Company's procedures

    Able to take initiative, where necessary, and in so doing take responsibility for organising, planning, prioritising, making decisions and solving problems

    Ability to work flexibly and deal constructively with unanticipated/variable situations, such as co-operative and not so co-operative customers

    Process any non-conformities in accordance with Company procedures

    Requirement of effective written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate well with customers

    Ensure customer reference forms are completed

    Complete handover to Customer

    This position requires out of town travel

    Good level of physical fitness, including the ability to lift, work at heights and in differing conditions

    To clean up after completion of job and to leave the area in a clean and tidy condition

    Have good timekeeping, and control of effective time management

    Carry out any other reasonable duties, and responsibilities within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of the post

    Rate negotiable.
