Your new role at NewDay
NewDay have multiple strategic partnerships across various suppliers that support in achieving our business objectives.

We are required to have robust oversight and control across our supplier base that ensures we maintain high levels of adherence to governance frameworks and control management.


You will be part of the Supplier Management team, supporting in the day-to-day management and oversight across multiple suppliers used throughout Credit Operations including Credit Reference Agencies and specialist technology suppliers that support in our credit model & system development.

You will support in the management of risks and associated controls, quick and efficient execution of contracts, scheduling governance meetings, managing supplier support/queries and a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, where impeccable organisational skills will be key.


Alongside your internal teams, you will be working closely with our external suppliers, representing NewDay at external on-site meetings and therefore maintain a professional attitude at all times.

You will be key to supporting our business objective to embed the Manifesto in both culture and values with our people and partners.

0-12 months you'll deliver

  • Own the documentation & management of all external supplier oversight including action plans, minutes, tracking ongoing initiatives and working with SMEs to acquire updates and next step requirements.
  • Responsible for managing and attesting to Supplier Management controls.
  • Attend meetings and build relationships with NewDay suppliers, working with our suppliers to understand strategic differences, operational delivery and improvement opportunities.
  • Support compliance reviews/audits/assurance
  • Drive process improvements through pilots, problem solving & acting upon ideas.
  • Accountable to create processes to manage & evidence adherence to NewDay supplier management standards, completing all attestations as required in order to achieve the required standards in governance and oversight of suppliers.
  • Responsible for the endtoend management of change requests impacting on suppliers.
  • Support the development and monitoring on key SLAs and identify areas of nonperformance to address.
  • Build and manage effective relationships ensuring full collaboration from internal teams and suppliers to drive performance improvement.
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance testing and controls for data control, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective action plans to address issues.
  • Optimise processes and reduce risks associated with suppliers whilst also delivering commercial and operational value.
  • Adherence to regulatory requirements for credit reporting whilst abiding by the Principles of Reciprocity
  • Oversee new supplier onboarding, demonstrating supplier adherence to relevant controls, policies and standards as outlined through contractual agreements and mandated processes.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, enabling identification of areas for improvement to then implementing solutions.
  • Analytical capabilities with the ability to optimise the use of data and MI.
  • Ability to work in a lively, fastpaced team environment whilst remaining calm under pressure to achieve challenging deadlines.

And would love you to know or learn:

  • Managing suppliers and/or external relationships in a regulated environment
  • Experience of working in a CRA or with sub/near prime portfolios
  • Knowledge and understanding on the Principles of Reciprocity and other key SCOR principles.
